Catholic Women Council
Faith. Fellowship. Service.
A welcoming ministry for the women of Christ the King Catholic Church. All women of the parish are invited to grow in faith, build meaningful friendships, and serve our parish and community together.
The Catholic Women Council (CWC)
All women parishioners of Christ the King Catholic Church are members of the Catholic Women’s Council and are warmly invited to participate. Together, we support one another in faith and service while strengthening the life of our parish.
We are proud to be affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women, joining women across the country in prayer, leadership, and service to the Church.
Our Mission
Through the Catholic Women’s Council, women of Christ the King come together to grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and serve others with compassion and care. Our ministry supports both the spiritual life of our members and the needs of our parish and wider community.
Spiritual Growth
We encourage spiritual formation through women’s Bible studies, an annual women’s retreat, and gatherings that foster prayer, reflection, and faith-filled fellowship.
Parish Life & Hospitality
Our council plays an active role in parish life by honoring a Woman of the Year, hosting funeral luncheons and parish receptions, and creating opportunities for celebration and connection through seasonal events, including an annual Christmas gathering. We also provide monthly meals for the CTK Newman Club, offering hospitality and support to our university students.
Service & Outreach
Guided by Christ’s call to serve, we visit the sick and homebound, support our parish Religious Education program, and partner with local outreach organizations. Our service extends to Care and Share, the Family Support Center, Canyon Creek Women’s Crisis Center, and St. Martha’s Baby Project offering practical assistance and a compassionate presence to those in need.
When We Meet
The Catholic Women’s Council meets on the first Tuesday of each month, from September through May, at 7:00 PM.
All meetings are held in the Media Center, and new members are always welcome
